Homeschool Classes
These classes are offered on an as-requested basis, open to students ages 7 and up. They meet weekly for 1.5 hours and can be scheduled between 11am -3pm.
In this class, students will work with a variety of forms of paper-based artwork such as decoupage, collage, paper mosaic, card-making, book-making, and more. Projects will be guided by student choice and may include a mix of decorative and functional pieces.
In this class, students will create themed visual journal spreads in a personalized journal. Each session will feature a unique journaling prompt and instruction on a specific element of art and artistic technique, using various materials.
Dive into the imaginative world of mixed media art! Students will explore ways to combine a variety of materials to create both abstract and representational works of art using a blend of artistic techniques. Mediums used may include paint, paper, drawing, writing, stencils, pens, markers, paper clay, and more.
Learn how to build a cartoon-style character from the ground up by using shape, proportion, and expressive body language to develop a unique and memorable design. Students will explore, sketch, experiment, and eventually work up to a final inked and colored design.
In this class, students will learn how to use air dry clay to create unique sculptures. They will learn how to create an armature base, how to incorporate recycled materials, and may create functional, wearable, or decorative projects, as guided by student choice.
In this class, students with prior character design experience will practice technical drawing skills like perspective, observational drawing, and character posing before working up to their choice of a larger creative project.
